At Stanford, we encounter a lot of choices about what to major in, which career path we should pursue, and how we should spend our time. We may experience feelings of stress and pressure, some of which come from our families, when making these decisions. We may feel obligated to fulfill our families’ expectations because they raised us and are supporting us (financially) through college. We may also feel the need to pursue a career path that guarantees future financial and social security even if we are not passionate about it. Come join us for a discussion on making choices as college-aged adults in the face of familial expectations.
