Stanford’s community centers play a vital role in orientation by supporting new students and their families, introducing them to opportunities and resources, and helping them feel at home. Community Coordinators (CCs) plan and execute each community’s NSO/ISO events while gaining valuable leadership skills. CCs begin planning in the spring, communicate with staff throughout the summer, and return early to campus on Friday, September 13, to implement their programs.
Working under the supervision of the Asian American Activities Center, the Asian American New Student Orientation Committee (AANSOC) Coordinator plays a significant role in the planning and execution of the Asian American community’s NSO programs while gaining valuable leadership skills. The AANSOC Coordinator will complete training and begin event planning spring quarter, stay in communication with NSO staff during the summer, and return to campus on September 13 to implement their programs. NSO 2019 will take place Wednesday, September 18 – Sunday, September 22, 2019.
