Why you joined the A³C: During (and before) my virtual freshman year, old cochairs of PASU (the Pilipino American Student Union) would tell stories of memories and friendships made in the A3C couchroom and ballroom- apparently folks were in Jerald's office all the time back then! As someone who was part of the first generation of VSO leaders post-pandemic, I remember feeling this sense that student organizations were mostly on their own. Over time, I learned that VSO leaders could be supported too- and we just didn't know this because of all the generational knowledge lost after COVID. It is my hope that by stepping into this role, we're able to help VSO's better navigate the process of developing a meaningful relationship with the A3C and all of the amazing resources they have to offer.
One thing you love about Stanford: Tita Chat (our Filipino language teacher) <3
One class/program to participate in before leaving Stanford: APPLY TO ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAKS (ASB)
Advice to Frosh/anyone on campus: Everyone is on their own timeline- it's easy to compare yourself to others, but take things slow and remember to enjoy your time here and prioritize developing good relationships!
