Why you joined the A³C: Because Asian American history was trivialized in my predominantly white high school and town, I wanted to learn more about AAPI history. I also think there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to intersectionality too, like being FLI and AAPI, being a woman and AAPI, being queer and AAPI. There’s so many beautiful stories and walks of life that should be shared and I think finding community is so important. So I joined A3C to expose myself to other people’s stories and learn.

One thing you love about Stanford: I like how there’s so many different types of people you can meet and all the readily available resources to explore your interests. There’s community based centers, subject-based resources (ex. Art, humanities, STEM), cool classes to take, and so many organizations to participate in.

One class/program to participate in before leaving Stanford: Sophomore College

Advice to Frosh/anyone on campus: Don’t let your surrounding make you feel like you’re not enough or behind. You are exactly where you should be and you have all the capabilities to achieve your goals.
