Why you joined the A³C: I come from an area with an Asian population of less than 0.1 percent. Growing up, I've always sought opportunities to connect with my culture. During Admit Weekend, I came to an event hosted by the A3C and immediately felt a sense of belonging and purpose. The A3C provides a space for Asian Americans to connect, to share, and to be assured in their identity. I joined because I want to especially reach out to Asian Americans who may have also struggled with finding communities like the A3C.
One thing you love about Stanford: The people! Amongst midnight discussions on hammocks dissecting our lives and laughter in the middle of library study sessions, I've met some of the most articulate, kind-hearted, and wonderful people. Stanford is an amalgamation of stories and ideas, and there's no better place to learn that from than those around you.
One thing you're looking forward to participating in: I'm so excited to participate in my dorm's trip to Yosemite! Shout-out to Donner!
One thing I'm excited about as a first-year student: I'm beyond ready to explore the wealth of opportunities and resources available to grow myself.
