Why you joined the A³C: I wanted to understand Asian American issues, both regarding South Asian (and South Asian American) issues and broad / pan-Asian issues. I want to learn more about our histories, modes of oppression, and modes of liberation especially as they relate to other racially minoritized groups.

One thing you love about Stanford: I'm so thankful for my very loving friendships and overall supportive relationships with people! I also really enjoy getting to learn about my most specific interests through courses, research, clubs, and conversations with so many people – friends, classmates, professors, community partners, and many more – who enhance my understanding of some of my most burning interests!

One class/program to participate in before leaving Stanford: EDUC 197: Gender and Education in Global and Comparative Perspectives was one of my favorites!!

Advice to Frosh/anyone on campus: Definitely explore all of your interests as best as you can! I learned a lot about the ways I wanted to be involved with some of my interests professionally / after Stanford by engaging in them in different contexts (eg. classes, public service, clubs). I also got to learn skills and hobbies that I had limited access to before coming to Stanford by engaging in them while here + picked up new interests and hobbies that I never heard of or thought of being involved with until I tried it here! Starting later is better than never – I'm still finding new interests and fine-tuning what I know I'm interested in as a senior!!
