Asian American Graduation Celebration

Main content start

The Asian American Graduation Celebration brings together families and friends to recognize the achievements of our graduating students, and is open to the entire Stanford community. This event is one of the few ceremonies where parents and families are recognized for their contributions to the success of the graduate. Each registered graduate will be introduced on stage, and will have their stole honoree accompany them to present their stole and receive a certificate presented for the graduate and their family.

In accordance with Stanford’s plans for commencement, the Asian American Graduation Celebration for the graduating class of 2025 will be hosted on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. PT. Our students and staff are working hard to develop a wonderful experience to celebrate this important milestone.  THIS EVENT IS FOR GRADUATING UNDERGRADUATE/CO-TERM STUDENTS ONLY.

  • Graduates must first RSVP in order to reserve their spot and receive additional information regarding payment and confirmation.  Online payments will only be accepted and include an additional 5% surcharge. We are not accepting cash/check/mailed ticket payments at this time.
  • If payment is not received, your reservation will be forfeited to make room for waitlisted RSVPs.
  • All payments are final, no refunds.

Things to Consider when submitting your RSVP:

  • If you are a parent, guardian, family member or friend of a graduating senior, please ask your graduate to fill out the RSVP form to ensure we receive the most accurate information to prevent mistakes or double submissions.
  • To complete the RSVP form, personal information from the graduate along with their headshot will need to be submitted, please be prepared with this information and/or check with your graduate.
    • We also acknowledge that many graduates may be taking graduation photos closer to commencement weekend. An appropriate picture will still need to be submitted to complete this form and you can email us later if you wish to update your photo before the event. More instructions will be shared once your RSVP is confirmed.
  • Our venue has a capacity limit and priority will be given to those that sign up first.  There is a strong chance that our event will sell out so we encourage submitting your RSVP early.
  • Due to capacity limit, each registered graduate can reserve up to 7 additional tickets.
  • Although a deadline for RSVP submissions is indicated, submitting a RSVP does not guarantee entry to our event since we may reach maximum capacity in our venue.
  • After submitting a RSVP, you will receive an email indicating that your RSVP has either been accepted or put on a waitlist.
    • If your RSVP is accepted, you will be asked to submit your ticket payment by the dates indicated in the acceptance email in order to confirm your spot. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation email with details on the event. Failure to comply may result in forfeiting your RSVP and you may then be put on a waitlist.
    • If your RSVP indicates that you were put on a waitlist, we will contact you in the order that your reservation came in to let you know if we can accommodate your party.
